BRISTOW RUN SCHOLASTIC REGISTRATIONS
IMPORTANT NOTE: If any child's name is entered in wrong section, PLEASE WRITE IT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE Correct Section's SIGN-IN ROSTER and tell which section they belong in.
Do not start the first round in the wrong section.
I will do my best to update this on Sunday and Thursday evenings (and odd times in between as time permits). If you find your child's name in the 'wrong' section, simply email princewilliamchess@gmail.com and advise of the change that needs to be made.
No child can play in a section 'below' the one their grade requires. Any younger child can choose to "play up" and compete at a higher grade level, just advise which section they want to enroll in if they feel bold and want to compete at the higher level (theoretically, at least, the older youngsters will have higher level chess skills).
My thanks to the below parents/children for early registration.
PLEASE NOTE: if relatively few children sign up in any section (usually highschool), the organizer's procedure to provide them with reasonable competition is to place them into the Middle school section. If this happens, it happens and no whining from parents or players will be allowed to waste the pairing TD or organizer's time with complaints about this. Life is not always fair. Get over it and do your best, and remember: Just because the opponent is older, does NOT mean they play better chess.
ANY PARENTS wishing to begin supporting these chess activities in a greater way, feel free to step up and make that known to the organizer. We will put you to work, depending on your knowledge, availability and talents. All help is greatly appreciated, and more parents need to stand up to help in order to continue these events in the traditional manner - run for the kids by volunteer help.
